Baby Shower for the Brookers!
GraceChurch is hosting a baby shower for Jud and Nicole Brooker on Sunday, July 23rd at 3 pm in the Fellowship Hall. All are invited as we shower them with gifts for their first baby...and it's a boy!
They are registered at Target and Amazon. You can easily find their registries by searching for their names.
Contact Julie Medlin with questions. (
We hope to see you then!

Monticello Lake Beach Day
Need an afternoon at the beach? Come out to Lake Monticello Park on Sunday, July 30th at 2 pm. Bring the family, food to share, and a chair! Contact Patricia Campbell or Debbie LaGeorge for more information.

A "Pounding" Potluck Luncheon to welcome the new Pastor
Our new pastor, Bill Crews, will begin preaching on August 6th at GraceChurch! Then, on August 13th, we will have a special commissioning service, followed by a Potluck Lunch (please, bring a side dish or dessert to share.) We will also follow a southern tradition... a Pounding - where we each gift the new pastor's family with kitchen staples (such as sugar, flour, canned goods, etc) on the 13th. Hope you can make it!

Pinehurst Back-to-School Bash
Once again GraceChurch will be helping with the Back-to-School event for the Pinehurst Community on Saturday, August 12th from 11am-2pm. If you're able to volunteer (set up 9-11am, event 11am-2pm, or clean up 2 pm), contact Mike KIng. (

In the meantime, we will be collecting at least 50 of each:
Composition Books
Wide-Ruled Paper
Individual size hand sanitizer
Individual tissues
and large bags of popped popcorn for the event.

Prayer Meeting - Please join us on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:30 pm in the fellowship hall as we pray for our church needs and those of the local community. If you would like to add a prayer request, email us at

HELP NEEDED for HOPE PROJECT - Each month, Grace Church works to provide food assistance to seniors living at Forest Oaks Apartments. Hope Project volunteers shop for food at our local food bank, pray with clients, and help with related transportation.  Can you help?  A few food shoppers are needed.  Volunteers would shop one morning each month at Harvest Hope Food Bank and transport the food to Grace Church.  It's a 2 to 3 hour commitment.  Training is provided and you don't need a truck!   The Hope Project also needs people to pray with clients during our once-per-month food distribution here at Grace.  We gather in the evening every fourth Tuesday for prayer and food distribution.   Interested?  Contact Dwight Moffitt at
